In this section I am posting links to some of my favorite musicians and bands, regardless of their rank in the music business.
I am simply sharing information of the people that inspired me throughout the years. Some of them are friends or fellow musicians
I met briefly but they left their mark… Pay some of these guys a visit; I know you would appreciate their talent!
First and most importantly check the
Hindu Cowboys site where you can learn about this unique project that keeps the spirit of
Classic Country alive. Some call the style Americana, some call it Alternative country, but one thing is for sure: it's an amalgam
of American musical movements that changed the modern pop culture forever. I happen to be a proud member of the band since it was conceived.
Django Reinhardt has become a legend with his innovation and virtuosity. Hundreds of guitar players dedicate their careers to Django and follow
his tradition. The site contains audio samples and detailed bio. Lot’s of Jazz history there too.
No doubt in his own category of course is the impeccable
Wes Montgomery. The site is a great resource for anyone passionate about jazz guitar.
One of the guitar players that inspired me the most is
George Benson. I have no words to describe the impact of his genius on me as
a musician, not just a guitar player.
I would be still playing Beatles songs (not that is anything wrong with that) if it wasn’t for
Al Di Meola. Along with
Paco De Lucia and
John McLaughlin he changed the way I perceived the guitar forever.
The awesome
Marc Atkinson and his trio as well as his project called
The Bills. I met him and the Bills at a Bluegrass Festival in Brooskville, FL.
If you get a chance check a live show of the
Filthy Rich.
Their guitarist Guthrie Trapp is phenomenal player. I highly recommend them to you!
